Ecological footprint
Ecological footprint is a term that is used to refer to the demand that human
beings place on the resources in their environment and the world's ecosystems.
It is a standardised measure of the consumption by the human population in an
area in relation to the capacity of that ecosystem to regenerate and support
them.
